IBLT is currently developing a training track for teachers and consultants in Biblical Hebrew, aimed at native or academic-level Hebrew speakers. People who speak modern Hebrew already control Hebrew systems similarly to the way that English speakers have a head start when approaching Shakespeare and even Chaucer. These Hebrew speakers can be trained as assistant teachers in immersion classrooms long before they have completed the requirements for a B.A. degree. IBLT offers a Certificate for such teachers. Those students who would like to make the teaching of Hebrew a career or who are interested in contributing to the wider project of translating the Bible into the languages of the world are encouraged to continue their studies toward a B.A., an M.A., and for some a PhD.
